Copying Games The Easy Way

Written by Don
on July 1st, 2009

If you’ve ever sat down after a ridiculously frustrating day, fully prepared to spend the rest of the night immersed in your favorite game only to see the dreaded “disk error” message, you’ve probably thought about making backups of your games. May be you thought about doing it.

If you looked online, you probably found a whole bunch of forum posts with links to free downloads, all of which thread out with “help, my copies don’t work” postings, which, let’s be honest, is pretty much what you expected to find in the first place.

And if you’re like most people, you probably didn’t look into much further. Until the next time one of your games stopped working, and then all you could do was curse yourself out for not following through on how to make copies.

Let’s face it, game discs aren’t as indestructible as we once thought. They get scratched, warped, damaged. The are not kid proof and they are not dog proof as well. (Trust me, I know what I am talking about!) Buying a second copy of a game because the first one you bought stopped working is as irritating as it is expensive, but who hasn’t done exactly that? Who hasn’t left a game at a friend’s house and never seen it again? Taken it with you on vacation and lost it on the way home? It happens that discs get lost. It’s just a fact.

Making copies of your games just makes sense, and whether you’re copying games for your PS3 or XBOX 360, your Wii or your PC, you expect those copies to work exactly the same way as the originals. If they don’t, what’s the point?

But is it worth going through all those forum posts to find a backup system that actually works? And even if you find one, will it be easy to use, and will work across various platforms?

CopyThatGame makes perfect copies of every game, every time, and costs about the same as a single new game for whichever console – or consoles – you’re using. It only takes a few minutes to copy your games with this system, start to finish. The software makes a copy of every part of a game, including all extras, and even games using a hard to break copyright protection will be copied.

There are lots of good reasons to make backup copies of your games, and this software is the easiest, and most reliable, way to do it.

WoW Strategy Guide Review: Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide

Written by Don
on June 29th, 2009

World of Warcraft strategy guides typically concentrate on just a single aspect such as character leveling, gold making, leveling professions, or PvP. The only strategy guide to cover all aspects of WoW is the Ultimate WoW Guide. It has more information than any other WoW guide. In spite of it’s massive size, the guide is always kept up to date for game patches and expansions.

There are three sections that the Ultimate WoW guide is grouped into. Part one is focused entirely on leveling your character as quickly as possible whether you are playing  Horde or Alliance. You’ll be using an in-game leveling guide add-on that makes leveling amazingly fast and easy. Switching back and forth from the game to a guide has always been something that I found extremely annoying. After using in-game guides I’ll never go back, and neither will you.

The guide configures itself to your toon after you complete a quick and simple installation. In essence, the guide gently takes your hand and guides you through all the steps you should take. All you have to do is accept quests and the guide will handle marking way-points on your map and directing you with an arrow on your screen. It’s incredibly slick and doesn’t get in the way at all.

Class specific quests are also included as part of the power leveling guide. You’ll need to have good gear for leveling, so a complete gear guide is provided as well. A great feature that only the Ultimate WoW Guide has is an in-game Talent Guide. There are pre-made templates that you select that will ensure that you are running with the best leveling talent spec for your class.

How to make massive amounts of gold is covered in the 2nd part of Dugi’s guide. You’ll amass all the gold you need during the speed leveling phase. The gold guide focuses mainly on strategies for high level characters but does include some strategies that low level characters can also use. The only point at which you may really need to make gold in the early part of the game is when saving up for your mounts. You will be shown the very best auction house tricks, where to farm rare components, and profitable circuits for dailies. It makes it simple to earn more than five hundred gold per hour, which is really quick. Selecting the best professions will ensure that you make gold much faster and the included professions guide has everything covered.

Lastly, the third section of the guide is devoted to PvP. This is the one thing I enjoy the most about this game. The PvP guide contains top notch strategies for all classes. To make winning even more efficient, the guide provides you with a list of mods you can install and a comprehensive macro guide. Of course, a guide to picking the best talents is also included in the package.

Every facet of playing Warcraft is covered in the Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide. It sounds cliche, but you will not need anything more after getting this guide. Dugi’s guides are all top flight guides individually, and packed together they make for an awesome value. Dugi’s Ultimate WoW Guide gets my thumbs up.
